ipostparcels.com release new website functionality and services after a conducting a survey with their customers

Tuesday 26th November 2013

ipostparcels.com, part of UK Mail, the Midlands based parcels and logistics company, is gearing up for a busy Christmas peak period  with investment into new website functions and added services  to ensure a smooth, online delivery order process, for customers.

The new website features and extra services have come off the back of a customer survey the company held in July asking for suggestions and feedback on their current service. The results of the survey showed that 47% customers who took part would like more easy payment options, parcel delivery to Ireland as well as more variation for larger parcels.

Taking the results of the customer survey, ipostparcels.com has implemented a new ‘Top-up account’ service. Regular shippers are able to make quick payments by adding funds into the account for payment of their parcel delivery service. Customers only have to top up to a minimum of £10 and can go up to a maximum of £500, with the option of easy fund withdrawal. ipostparcels.com are offering their customers incentives for topping up, customers can top up £500 and have an extra £35 to spend.

Supplementing their service features, ipostparcels.com has increased their parcel size options with the addition of XX- Large parcel. Customers can now send a parcel up to 25kg with no single dimension exceeding 80cm.

Many UK residents have relatives or business acquaintances based in Ireland, sending parcels to the Republic of Ireland is also now available through ipostparcels.com.

Guy Buswell, CEO of UK Mail, said, “We appreciate and take on board the feedback and suggestions our customers provide. The survey we conducted highlighted a need to tweak our current service and give our customers more functionality and hence make it even easier for them to manage their parcel deliveries.  With Christmas just around the corner, our customers can now benefit from quicker payments, more sizing options and a new service for sending gifts to Ireland.”

UK Mail launched ipostparcels an online next day collection and delivery service back in 2011 to serve the consumer, eBay and SME market. The service doesn’t require customers to have a minimum shipping volume and can be used as an ad hoc service with all collections and deliveries going through parent company UK Mail’s network. The group recently reported their parcel delivery volumes have risen by 25pc in the last six months bolstering revenues. Furthermore, a 63pc jump in pre-tax profits to £11.9m, boosted by a surge in online shopping deliveries.
