ISG Celebrates Building Excellence

ISG has received a coveted Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Building Excellence Award for its Bouverie Court regeneration scheme in Bristol thanks to the exceptional build quality of the finished development and the contractor’s proactive approach to community engagement.

The LABC Building Excellence Awards are highly significant for main contractors as projects are nominated by local authority Building Control Officers themselves. At Bouverie Court, ISG demolished a derelict pub on the brownfield site in Easton and redeveloped the plot to create new residential accommodation.

In addition to delivering the project right on schedule, ISG’s approach to driving best value and maximising efficiencies across the site resulted in £40K cost savings for the scheme. The contractor also played a pivotal role in developing local awareness and excitement about the new project.

ISG’s experience of active engagement with local communities in regeneration areas ensured that the company was able to take a proactive approach to keeping local residents up to date with the development. The company provided regular updates via a site newsletter and worked closely with the local school, Bannerman Road Primary, even providing skills and materials to clear and improve an area within the school grounds to create an outdoor learning area and garden.
