NETANYA CONTEMPORARY MOSAIC ART FESTIVAL
Taking place in the shore city of Netanya between October 15th-18th, during the holiday of Sukkot, the Netanya Mosaics Festival will feature the first display of Israeli Contemporary Art in Mosaics.
The Art Festival will be held in various locations throughout Netanya, including special activities on the Promenade where artist Roslan Sergeyev has created a mosaic display, the Tsuk Gallery and the Garden around it.
Special features throughout the festival include an International Art Exhibition, displayed at the Tsuk Gallery, an outdoors sculpturing display at the Shaked Promenade garden, an academic and educational symposium on ancient time mosaics at the Cultural Center, and an outdoor landscape project. Special mosaics such as the stockings mosaic will be displayed in Atzmaut Square and a workshop will be open for the public by Yuti & Anat Shamai.
During the festival, a monumental sculpture will be inaugurated on the lawn north of the Tsuk Gallery, featuring the festival’s special guest, an Italian mosaic artist.
A special community project will also take place at the Netanya Museum during which children will be guided by a professional artist in building a mosaic Wall.
Netanya is a lively seacoast town situated on the Sharon coastal plain, and a center for tourism, attracting thousands of visitors each year. The lovely beaches that extend along its entire length, its numerous vacation facilities, and hotels have made it a popular tourist resort.
