The Red Sea International Jazz Festival in Eilat celebrated 25 years!

This week israeli and international jazz musicians performed over four days including all-night jam sessions in Eilat.

 

The perennially popular Red Sea International Jazz Festival attracted tens of thousands of jazz aficionados from Israel and overseas who came to enjoy great music, jam sessions, master classes, a relaxed atmosphere and all that Israel's most popular tourist resort has to offer. During 21-24 August the festival featured performances by over 20 Israeli and international bands, among them world-renowned jazz performers; Eddie Palmieri & La Perfecta II, Lizz Wright, Steve Smith & Vital Information, Tuba Skinny, Gretchen Parlato, The Pedrito Martinez Group, as well as young local artists.

Every evening at 19:00 guests were welcome to an open concert featuring the best Israeli young jazz groups.

The traditional free midnight jam sessions took place around the pool of the Isrotel Yam Suf. An integral part of the festival's unique atmosphere, these jazz sessions bring together Israeli and international jazz musicians, much to the delight of hundreds of fans every evening into the small hours.
