The trusted global agency for open-source defence intelligence today welcomes Phil Smith to drive global technology strategy

LONDON (16 March) -  Janes – the trusted global agency for open-source defence intelligence – today announced the appointment of  Phil Smith as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Smith will lead global technology operations as the company continues its transition from its publishing legacy into the leading provider of open-source data, intelligence and analytics.

Smith brings significant experience in technology and transformation leadership, with ten years’ experience as a Chief Technology/Chief Information Officer behind him, including at Vaultex, where he spent three years as CTO. He also brings extensive experience from BT Global Services and Gartner, where he held senior positions.
