ANNOUNCEMENT - 22 MARCH 2002 Since the 15 March 2002 Smurfit Holdings AB acquired 13,002,818 shares in Munksjö AB. Smurfit Holdings AB thereafter owns a total of 27,314,694 shares which represents 63.0 percent of Munksjö's registered share capital and votes. Smurfit Holdings AB's shareholding represents 62.7 percent of Munksjö's registered share capital and votes when taking into account also the number of shares that would be issued if all convertible notes are converted into shares.
