ANNOUNCEMENT - 27 MARCH 2002 Since the 15 March 2002 Smurfit Holdings AB acquired 13,892,618 shares in Munksjö AB. Smurfit Holdings AB thereafter owns a total of 28,204,494 shares which represents 65,1 percent of Munksjö's registered share capital and votes. Smurfit Holdings AB's shareholding represents 64,7 percent of Munksjö's registered share capital and votes when taking into account also the number of shares that would be issued if all convertible notes are converted into shares.
