National training provider JHP Training successfully ran a pilot apprenticeship scheme with Rother District Council involving young apprentice Daniel Daly who recently completed at a 100% pass rate and was presented with his certificate at a lavish presentation evening last week. Tania Bruce, JHP Training assessor met with Rother DC’s CEO Derek Stevens last week to deliver the NVQ certificates to be presented by the CEO to Daniel Daly for his great achievement. Daniel was the first recruited apprentice on this scheme, he’s had the lucky opportunity to work within various departments within the Council gaining valuable experience, and has now worked in the council for a year. HR Manager was particularly pleased with the Council’s decision to pilot this scheme and their recruit, Daniel. He commented, “The idea was to encourage apprenticeships and obtain expert help from experienced training providers. When we set out the tender for the pilot, JHP Training were the successful bidders and helped us within the process right from identifying the candidate most suitable for the position for an NVQ Business Admin level 2. They were very accommodating and the assessor helped Daniel thoroughly in obtaining the working evidence to complete all units of the apprenticeship programme.” Young apprentice Daniel commented, “I came straight from finishing school into an apprenticeship as I wanted to gain qualifications instead. The whole experience has been great; even better than the job description said!”.
