Construction of 600 new residential units started north of Stockholm JM has started the first phase a new housing development at Bolinder Strand in Järfälla, north of Stockholm. A total of around 600 residential units will be built in the area. Bolinder Strand is located by the shore of Lake Mälaren on the so-called Bolinder property in Kalhäll. At present, the property also contains some 36,000 square meters of commercial premises, parts of which will be further developed by JM. Most of the units will have a view of the lake. The 24 units now under construction in Phase 1, with a total of 95 apartments, all have large balconies or patios. The future phases of the project will include tenant-owner units in both multifamily complexes and single-family homes. Inner-city Stockholm can be reached within 20 minutes by commuter train or by car via the E18 motorway. "Sales of Phase 1 are scheduled to begin in mid-November, but we have already received close to 600 advance bookings. A development with this many different structures demands stylistic variation, and we will be using several different architects during the project. Phase 1, the so- called South Point, was designed by Gert Wingårdh", says JM's Project Manager Ann Margret Haglund.
