JM Construction has signed an agreement to sell the Gustavsberg 1:544 property. The deal is worth SEK 30m.

The property is located in the Ekobacken area of Gustavsberg in Värmdö Municipality, which is about 20 km east of central Stockholm. The buyer will take occupancy in Q1 2020, which is also when payment will be made. The sale’s positive outcome of SEK 18m will be reported as gains on the sale of property in Q1 2020 under the JM Construction business segment.

The sale of the property is an important part of efforts to link the Ekobacken area with the retail hub at Värmdö Marknad. Building materials supplier Byggmax is the property’s current tenant.

“We are planning to sell more zoned industrial land in the Ekobacken area up to 2021, and are consequently very happy about this sale which will allow Byggmax to continue operating in the area,” says Sören Bergström, president of JM Construction.
