JM is acquiring the Fabriken 15 property in Huddinge with the intention of developing approximately 400 building rights for residential units in the future. The deal is worth SEK 128 million. Occupancy and payment are expected to be completed by February 2013.

The land is located in Storängen in central Huddinge, and comprises approximately 21,000 m2. JM intends to initiate the process for having the property rezoned, which is in line with the municipality’s aim of gradually transforming Storängen from an industrial area into a mixed-use city where housing constitutes the main part. Local planning start-up in 2013 means construction can potentially begin in 2015.

“It is very gratifying to make an acquisition that will enable housing production in Huddinge during several years,” says Pär Vennerström, regional manager for Stockholm South Region.
