JM and Uppsala Municipality have signed a letter of intent regarding JM acquiring land from the municipality and producing approximately 100 rental units a year over a five-year period in Uppsala.

Uppsala’s population is increasing by 3,000-4,000 new inhabitants a year, and new housing must be built to enable this growth. JM is planning for production of the first stage to begin in 2016.

The project will be reported as project properties in the JM Residential Sweden business unit.

"We are already building a lot of housing in Uppsala, and are naturally very happy about cooperating with Uppsala Municipality and looking forward to being able to produce rental units in this expansive city," says Per Johansson, Regional Manager, East Region JM.
