Today JM's President and CEO Johan Skoglund and Lars-Erik Salminen, mayor of Solna City, launched the construction start of JM's first stage in the Järvastaden expansion project.

A symbolic shovel of dirt was taken today in the groundbreaking ceremony for JM's first block in Järvastaden: Granatäpplet. The block consists of eight buildings with three each and a penthouse with large terraces. All units have either spacious balconies or separate patios. The first stage will have a total of 91 apartments with 2 to 5 rooms and a kitchen. Sales are in progress and occupancy is planned for autumn 2008.

The new Järvastaden district is located north of the E18 highway and extends from Ursvik exercise center in Sundbyberg to the trunk line and Ulriksdal commuter train stations to the east.

The Järvastaden expansion is a long-term project with completion of the entire area expected in about 15 years. When the district is completely built, with more than 4,000 apartments and single family homes, about 12,000 people will live in the area.

JM will build a total of about 2,000 residential units in the area in multiple stages.

"It's incredibly exciting that we are now getting started with the Järvastaden expansion project. This new district has a fabulous location close to nature and recreation, yet just ten minutes to the city center," says Johan Skoglund, President and CEO of JM.
