Maria Bäckman new General Counsel at JM AB (publ)

Maria Bäckman has been appointed General Counsel at JM, effective October 1, 2012. She will be a member of Executive Management and serve as secretary to the Board. Maria has worked as a company lawyer at JM since April 2000.

"Maria Bäckman is a very competent company lawyer. She has sound experience and is very familiar with our business. She has worked at JM for many years, and thus has a broad internal contact network and a very good reputation in the organization. As a result, Maria will be a major asset in terms of JM's continued development," says Johan Skoglund, President and CEO of JM.

Maria Bäckman will succeed Urban Lilja, who will retire on October 1 this year. Urban has served as General Counsel and secretary to the Board since 1996. He will continue working part-time assisting the president until 2013.
