Jones Dairy Farm Hosts 2nd Annual Rise, Sizzle & Shine Breakfast Recipe Contest

FORT ATKINSON, Wis. Jones Dairy Farm is hosting its 2nd Annual Rise, Sizzle & Shine Breakfast Recipe Contest, in search of the next great breakfast idea. Entrants must submit a breakfast recipe using Jones Dairy Farm products, such as breakfast sausage, bacon, Canadian bacon, ham, scrapple or braunschweiger. The creator of the winning recipe will receive $2,000. Second and third place winners will receive $1,000 and $500, respectively.

“We are honored to host our second Rise, Sizzle & Shine Recipe Contest,” said Philip Jones, sixth generation family president at Jones Dairy Farm. “Last year’s entries were incredibly inventive and delicious, making the finalist selection a difficult task for our team. We look forward to seeing the creativity of this year’s entries.”

Contest entries may be submitted at www.JonesRecipeContest.com. The deadline to enter is Aug. 15, 2014.  

Consumers will have an opportunity to help pick the winning recipe through online voting. The three semi-finalist recipes will be posted on the Jones Dairy Farm Facebook Page on Aug. 30 for consumer voting. The deadline to vote is Sept. 6, 2014. Winners will be announced in the following weeks.  

Last year, Malcom Bedell, from Thomaston, Maine, secured the grand prize by impressing Jones Dairy Farm Facebook fans with his recipe for Spicy Breakfast Tacos.
