Anders Wallqvist new Chairman of the Board of Jordkraft Energy AB
At the Annual General Meeting on June 23, 2025, Anders Wallqvist was elected as the new Chairman of the Board of Jordkraft Energy AB. The company’s CEO has previously held the role.
Anders Wallqvist is previously Chairman of Nowa Empower, partner and co-owner of Jordkraft, and CEO of the listed Thinc Collective, of which Nowa Empower is a part.
“Jordkraft is in a very interesting development phase with numerous projects underway. My task will be to accelerate the company’s growth journey together with the team as we now enter the next financing round”, says Anders Wallqvist.
Jordkraft, which develops modular geothermal power plants, is in the midst of an intensive period of development and growth. For example, the company recently launched JordMod™, an AI-based tool for geothermal calculations, developed in collaboration with Sigma Technology. In June, Jordkraft was selected as an industrial partner in a multinational consortium for the development of geothermal electricity production in Ukraine. The company is also a finalist in E-Prize 2025, Sweden’s largest and most prestigious award for energy innovations.
“The expertise and experience that Anders brings is important to take Jordkraft to the next level”, says Jessica Friberg, CEO and co-founder of Jordkraft.
“We have an exciting journey ahead of us with enormous opportunities to contribute to the green transition with previously untapped baseload power. With a sharper security situation in Europe, our concept of modular power plants becomes a strategically important solution for increased energy security and resilience.”
