Jordkraft Energy AB has been named a finalist in the E-Prize 2025, Sweden’s largest and most prestigious award for energy innovation in the business sector. The prize, organised by Dagens industri, Aktuell Hållbarhet and E.ON, highlights companies and solutions that accelerate the energy transition.

The E-Prize, now in its 17th consecutive year, rewards innovations in three categories: renewable energy, sustainable transport and energy optimisation, where Jordkraft is one of three finalists. The finalists are assessed on their level of innovation, business viability and sustainability.

“The energy transition is a a societal transformation, the largest since the industrial revolution. To achieve this, we need a variety of players and solutions at many different levels – from specific technical problems to major system challenges,” says Carin Kuylenstierna, Head of Strategy and Sustainability at E.ON in the Nordics and member of the jury, to Aktuell Hållbarhet.

“In turbulent times when it is more difficult for startups and scaleups to access capital, it feels even more important to spotlight companies that want to be part of the solution.”

This year’s finalists reflect trends such as digitalisation, circularity and resilience.

Jordkraft develops small, modular geothermal electrical power plants designed for sensitive environments and critical infrastructure, delivering emission-free baseload power – enough to supply up to 4,000 households with electricity.

“We are incredibly proud of this finalist position. It confirms our work and our vision, and highlights the need to develop new methods for clean and cost-effective electricity supply,” says Jessica Friberg, CEO and co-founder of Jordkraft.

“Electricity production that is not only fossil-free, but also stable and resilient, is crucial if we are to meet climate challenges and growing security threats.”

The winners of the E-Prize will be announced on  20 November.
