The Board of Directors of Kesko Corporation and the company’s President and CEO Mikko Helander have agreed to amend Helander’s managing director's contract so that Helander will continue to act as President and CEO for the time being. According to the previous contract, Helander would have retired in June 2023 when he turns 63. Helander has acted as the President and CEO of Kesko since 2015.

“Under Mikko Helander, Kesko’s business has undergone a major transformation over past six years. The successful execution of Kesko’s growth strategy has led to a significant increase in shareholder value. I am convinced that Kesko’s development will continue strong under President and CEO Helander also in upcoming years,” says Esa Kiiskinen, Chairman of Kesko’s Board of Directors.
