Hotchkis Sport Suspension, Fender Musical Instruments Corp. and the Saucy Jacks to Join Forces at Vegas Car Show for Ultimate Muscle Car Experience

Santa Fe Springs, Calif. (March 2012) – Muscle car fans pumped up after a day at the track can keep the party going all night on Friday, April 13, during the “Muscle Cars at the Strip” (MATS) show. When the MATS autocross and drag strip settle down, the car party will continue at the Cannery Hotel and Casino with a “quarter mile of Mopars” car show, performances by British Invasion-classic rock band the Saucy Jacks and fantastic promotional giveaways sure to please car and guitar fans alike.

The party starts at 6 p.m. when the Saucy Jacks – a rock group specializing in ’60s British Invasion songs and composed entirely of music industry veterans – take the stage. Some of the fastest and rarest muscle cars of the era will line up just outside the party, and band members will take turns checking out the cars for a big giveaway during the show.

"Most bands just get up and play, which in most cases is just fine,” said MATS founder Phil Painter. “But this audience is super-passionate about all things MOPAR. Besides the great music, the Saucy Jacks also incorporate MOPAR culture and 'inside stuff' into their set. It really adds to the show; gets the audience involved. It's a unique performance experience."

This year, Hotchkis and guitar mega-brand Fender Musical Instruments Corporation have created a special 2012 MATS Saucy Jacks Awards. These awards will be given to lucky audience members during the band's show.

The Saucy Jacks "Fab-Fave" award goes to the band's pick of the coolest car at the Cannery. The award is an engraved Fender Stratocaster guitar just like those played by greats from Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton to Stevie Ray Vaughan.

The Hotchkis Award goes to the coolest modified vehicle on display that night (as chosen by the Hotchkis team). The winner gets a $500 Hotchkis gift certificate and a private autocross lesson with racing driver John Hotchkis. The winner’s own vehicle or one of the Hotchkis vehicles on site can be used at the autocross track any time throughout the MATS weekend.

The award ceremony is very interactive, and winners for both awards need to be on the premises at the show in order to receive the award.

About the Saucy Jacks

The Saucy Jacks transport their audiences back in time with performances that embody the feel, energy and sounds of the ’60s British Invasion. But the Saucy Jacks is not your typical tribute band. The four “lads” celebrate the abandon, fun and music of that time in a way that is nostalgic but not clichéd. Their set list reads like a “Billboard magazine Top 100” of that era, and includes songs such as “Satisfaction,” “Help!,” “All Day and All of the Night,” “Friday on My Mind,” “Needles and Pins,” “Ticket to Ride” and many more.

Individual members of the Saucy Jacks have toured and performed with a wide variety of artists, including Alice Cooper, Lou Reed, John Waite, Ian Hunter, the Smithereens, and members of Blondie, Rush and Elvis Presley’s band. They have also played on, written, scored and produced numerous platinum and gold records, TV and movie scores, and jingles for artists as varied as Hall & Oates, Aretha Franklin and Billy Joel. The Saucy Jacks are Shane Nicholas, (guitar, vocals), John Becker (drums), Jeff Owens (bass, vocals) and Ritchie Fliegler (guitar, vocals).
