1:18 scale collectible diecast models of Classic Recreations’ 1967 G.T.500CR are now available for pre-order.

Yukon, Okla. (June 23th, 2011) – Classic Recreations, bespoke builder of the official Shelby 1967 G.T. 500CR, announced today that a 1:18 scale collectible diecast model of the Shelby G.T.500CR will soon be available. This limited edition collector’s item is the perfect way for Shelby fans to bring a Shelby supercar into their homes and offices, without having to remove a wall!

Overseen by the legend himself, and his Vegas-based Shelby automotive empire, the G.T.500CR is the only '67 Shelby Mustang continuation car and uses all real Shelby parts combined with modern performance hardware and a Shelby serial number. These cars are the real deal - in terms of both provenance and performance and the new limited edition diecasts are equally rare and desirable.

Since each G.T.500CR built by Classic Recreations requires over 100 man hours just to polish the paint, ordering a custom supercar for daily driving comes with a wait. Happily, the Shelby G.T.500CR diecast model is available now for preorder, and comes with a Classic Recreations labeled box that includes the history of the model. Sure to be the showpiece of any collection, the Shelby G.T.500CR die cast faithfully recreates the one-off details of a vehicle which was showcased at the 2010 SEMA Show for Ford and competed in the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational with excellent results.

For collectors who prefer a full sized Shelby, Classic Recreations currently offers three G.T.500CR models—G.T.500CR 525, 545, and 900S—all of which feature hand-built 427 cubic inch (7.0L) engine, model specific bodywork, custom paint, and hand-stitched upholstery. Every car has an official Shelby serial number, badges, and is included in the official Shelby Worldwide Registry.
