Upofloor launches new collection of flooring tiles for public spaces
Upofloor, a brand within the Kährs Group, launches Zero Tile, a PVC-free flooring tile without plasticizers created for use in public spaces.
Zero Tile is an innovative flooring tile made in Finland of the PVC-free material Enomer®. Thanks to the tile’s wear-resistant properties and excellent resistance to chemicals, it is well suited for schools, day care centers, hospitals, entrance halls and corridors. It is also excellent for corporate applications since it withstands wear and tear from office chairs with wheels. Thanks to its durability and ease of maintenance, life cycle cost is low.
“Upofloor became the world's first manufacturer of PVC-free resilient flooring in 2004, and with the new collection, Zero Tile, we continue to expand the range of technically advanced and durable floors. We see a clear trend that more and more customers demand environmentally sound flooring alternatives that contribute to a healthy indoor environment, and Upofloor has a very strong position in this segment," says Andreas Berge, Manager Resilient Flooring at Kährs Group.
The launch of Zero Tile started with an unveiling at the Neocon show in Chicago, United States, in June, and roll-out in the main markets will continue during the autumn.
