The news highlights this month include the announcement that Limassol Marina is open for business from October.  The new and long awaited marina is set to become one of the Med's most prestigious developments and will cater for yachts measuring up to 115 metres. As well as exclusive waterfront villas the marina features 6,000 square metres of restaurants, shops and cafes, a spa and yacht club, cultural centre and marine training school which are all sure to be popular with visitors.

Cyprus took a silver medal at the Olympics this summer in London, fitting for a country with history inextricably linked with the sea boasting eight sailing clubs and the new marina.  The clubs cater for every requirement and can charter large yachts for an extended period or can simply loan out dinghies for a day's sailing.

Also this month is the news that Cyprus now has a beach specifically dedicated to kitesurfing.  Located in Softades (near Kiti) in Larnaca the beach will provide perfect wind and wave conditions all year round.
