South Africa Tourism Welcomes New Marketing & Communications Manager

South Africa Tourism is delighted to be welcoming Juan Herrada as the organisation’s new Marketing and Communications Manager in London. Juan, who takes up the post this week, will be joining the team from Accenture UK, where he previously worked in marketing and customer relationship management specialising in digital and social media.
Fluent in both Spanish and English, Juan studied International Business at the University of Edinburgh and has worked in New York and Singapore on branding and advertising projects.
His experience spans brand strategy, merchandising and market analysis, social media advertising and creative content.
At SAT he will head up the UK in-country’s marketing and communications division. Juan will be contactable on Juan@southafrica.net from 5th September.

South Africa Tourism at World Travel Market 2012
Visit SAT at Stand AF500 at World Travel Market this year for a chance to meet celebrity adventurer Charley Boorman, discover what the destination’s responsible tourism ethos has to offer visitors and hear from the Minister of Tourism about the organisation’s plans for the future.
Other events at the stand will include wine tasting – South Africa provided two of the three official ‘Olympic’ wines at the 2012 Games – and the announcement of the Ubuntu Awards (worth £25,000) which celebrate innovation in tourism marketing.
