PER OLOF WALLSTRÖM APPOINTED NEW PRESIDENT FOR KARO BIO AB
The Karo Bio board of directors has appointed Per Olof Wallström as new President after Björn Nilsson who is leaving the company.
Per Olof Wallström has held a number of leading positions within the international pharmaceutical industry, including Astra and Pharmacia. During a ten year period Wallström was thereafter active within Bristol-Myers Squibb and played a key role in the successful development of the European marketing and sales operations. In recent years Wallström has worked in the biotechnology industry as President for the Swedish companies Q-Med AB and Melacure Therapeutics AB. “I wish Per Olof Wallström a warm welcome to Karo Bio. Wallström will have a significant impact for the company’s future development with his more than 30 years of experience from the international pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. I would also like to thank Björn Nilsson for his important contributions in the restructuring and development of Karo Bio to enable the company to bring its own pharmaceutical substances into clinical development”, says Per-Olof Mårtensson, Chairman of the Karo Bio board of directors. “I have followed the development of Karo Bio through the years.
