As the global economy enters what promises to be a prolonged recession, one important way out of the crisis is to encourage the development of innovative new products and services that can yield new jobs and growth. A gathering of European leaders takes place at Karolinska Institutet Dec. 2 to discuss appropriate responses for European industry, academia and policy in this new environment, and to make the first pan-European awards for innovators who start companies based on university research.

You are invited to participate in an open discussion with these leaders, about their views on the economic challenges ahead and how innovation can help improve the climate for recovery and jobs in Europe.

Location: Cesar lecture hall, Berzelius väg 9, Karolinska Institutet, Solna

Please RSVP by 27 November to Sabina Bossi, Press Officer, Karolinska Institutet, at sabina.bossi@ki.se.
