Katalysen Ventures portfolio company Edger Finance launches retail platform & partnership with stock exchange
Katalysen Ventures' ("Katalysen") portfolio company Edger Finance ("Edger"), on a mission to reduce friction between investors and publicly listed SMEs in Europe, has launched the first module of its Edger platform. This first module empowers retail investors to make smarter investment decisions by providing professional-grade, easy-to-use investment tools. Katalysen is also proud to see Edger enter into a strategic partnership with Nordic stock exchange Spotlight Group to explore how Open Finance can be leveraged to reduce friction between investors and publicly listed companies. This is an important milestone in the partnership between Edger and Katalysen, which was formed in June 2022. This first public version of the Edger platform is just the beginning of Edger's journey toward becoming a leader within the field of Open Finance. A continuation of Open Banking, the goal of Open Finance is to create greater financial transparency and provide customers with better access to and more control over their financial data. The European Commission is currently considering regulatory changes (under the working name "Open Finance Framework") which would accelerate the adoption of Open Finance principles.
Foregoing such anticipated regulation, Edger is proud to announce a partnership with Nordic stock exchange Spotlight Group to explore how Open Finance can enable reduced friction between investors and publicly listed companies. Building on this partnership, work is well underway on modules related to custom KPIs and sustainability data.
Edger Finance was founded in 2019 by Andrew Boddy and Petter Hattenbach, and the Edger platform has been developed with the aim of reducing friction in financial markets, and the retail module aims to give retail investors access to the same tools and methods used by professionals.
