E-discovery Software Company Adds Fully Integrated, Complete Collection Capabilities to Relativity, Allowing Case Teams to Easily Target and Collect Data

Press Release – Chicago, IL – May 12, 2014 – kCura, developers of the e-discovery software Relativity, today announced the release of Relativity Collection—an easy-to-use collection application that allows users to perform targeted collections of select documents or complete forensic imaging via email, with a preconfigured USB drive, or directly from Relativity on a custodian’s machine.

Relativity Collection includes a unique feature called scout, which allows users to quickly and remotely analyze file names and system metadata on a custodian’s computer to get a complete picture of what’s available for collection. Case teams can then make informed, defensible decisions on what data they need before initiating the collection.

Prior to today’s release, kCura unveiled Collection to their international clients on May 8 at the Relativity Spring Launch Event in London. In the months leading up to the launch, a few of kCura’s clients have been using Collection.

“Relativity Collection’s scout feature allows us to get an entire listing of every single file and folder on a person’s computer in a matter of minutes. With that listing, we can do a much more targeted collection—collecting only what’s likely to be relevant—in a defensible way. We now have a record of what was collected and what was not collected,” said Chris Haley, director of litigation support for Troutman Sanders eMerge, who have been using Collection since April. “We don’t know any other solution on the market that provides this level of visibility.”

Collection is fully integrated into Relativity so users can manage their data from collection all the way through to production within a single system.

“We’re excited to add collection capabilities to the Relativity stack,” said Andrew Sieja, president and CEO of kCura. “Our goal is to make it as easy as possible to perform an informed collection remotely and defensibly. It’s great to see our users already having success with the product.”
