Stoel Rives LLP Installs Relativity In-house
Leading Portland-based law firm selects e-discovery platform for its text analytics capabilities and flexibility
Press Release – Chicago, IL and Portland, OR – April 22, 2014 – kCura, developers of the fully featured, e-discovery software Relativity, today announced that U.S. law firm Stoel Rives LLP has licensed the fully featured, web-based platform firm-wide. A leading regional law firm with a national reputation for excellence in corporate, energy, environmental, construction, litigation, and intellectual property law, Stoel Rives uses advanced technology to enhance their value and service to clients.
Relativity’s fully integrated processing capabilities allow teams to quickly ingest data into their workspace and begin review without leaving the system. Users can also take advantage of a complete set of text analytics capabilities, including computer-assisted review.
“By using Relativity’s analytics capabilities—such as clustering documents to get a holistic view of what topics are in a collection—our legal teams can immediately help clients understand what their data is going to look like. It improves strategy preparation, allowing determination of metrics like time of review and what type of data to review in what order,” said Aaron Pippin, national manager of litigation support at Stoel Rives. “This will be key in saving time and costs during e-discovery.”
Relativity also offers Stoel Rives the flexibility to create and automate custom workflows, and to build custom applications within the software to manage and search all types of case-related data and information.
“Our firm has hundreds upon hundreds of cases that our attorneys work on simultaneously. It’s important for us to be able to understand the needs of each of these cases and customize workflows for our different teams, making sure they’re getting what they need on every project,” said Pippin. “Relativity allows us to do this quickly and easily, so we have speed on our side—which helps us serve our clients more efficiently.”
“We’re excited that Stoel Rives has chosen Relativity, and are taking advantage of features like Relativity Analytics,” said Andrew Sieja, president and CEO of kCura. “We look forward to working closely with them.”
