JET AIRWAYS RE-INTRODUCES BOEING 777-300ER ON MUMBAI-BRUSSELS ROUTE Jet Airways is re-introducing its new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on the daily Mumbai-Brussels-Newark (USA) route from 21 November 2009. The extra capacity will cater for increased peak season traffic, benefitting UK travellers flying from Manchester and Birmingham via Jet’s European hub in Brussels. The airline currently operates daily services on the sector aboard Airbus 330-200 aircraft, with a twin-class configuration (Premiere and Economy). The new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft includes First Class, with Jet’s signature private suites offering guests the ultimate in comfort, space and privacy. Each suite includes the world’s longest First Class bed at 83 inches, massive 23 inch flat screen monitors, carefully designed storage areas that include a personal hanging wardrobe, dual credenza and under ottoman stowage, as well as dual sliding doors to ensure complete guest privacy. JET AIRWAYS’ GUESTS CAN NOW SEARCH FOR THE LOWEST FARES VIA SMS Thanks to a new initiative from India’s premier airline, guests travelling with Jet Airways can now send a text message from their mobile phone to find out the lowest available fares. Guests simply text 56388 with ‘LFS Origin Destination Date’ (dd/mm format, e.g. LFS BOM DEL 25/11) to get the lowest real-time fares. Tickets can then be booked online at www.jetairways.com. This service enhances the existing offering of real-time flight updates and prior check-in via SMS already offered by Jet Airways. JET AIRWAYS INTRODUCES DAILY SERVICE FROM MUMBAI TO KATHMANDU Jet Airways is set to increase its service to Nepal with the introduction of a daily flight from Mumbai to Kathmandu, starting on 2 December 2009. The new service, onboard a Boeing 737, comes in addition to the Delhi-Kathmandu route, which is also being enhanced with a second daily flight. Jet Airways flight 9W 266 will depart Mumbai at 0830 hrs, arriving in Kathmandu at 1115 hrs. Flight 9W 265 will then depart Kathmandu at 1245 hrs, arriving in Mumbai at 1530 hrs. Starting from 11 November 2009, Jet Airways has also introduced new services on the Mumbai-Kolkata route. Flight 9W 217 will depart Mumbai at 1020 hrs, arriving in Kolkata at 1255 hrs. Flight 9W 218 will then depart Kolkata at 1330 hrs, arriving in Mumbai at 1555 hrs. JET KONNECT INTRODUCES NEW DAILY SERVICES ON KEY DOMESTIC ROUTES Jet Airways Konnect, Jet Airways’ no-frills Economy Class service, has boosted flights from Delhi and Mumbai to enhance the domestic Indian network. Since 7 November 2009 there has been a new service on the Delhi-Chennai/Patna sectors and the Delhi-Raipur sector and since 11 November 2009 there have been additional flights on the Mumbai-Coimbatore sector. Flight 9W 2213 departs Delhi at 0540 hrs, arriving in Raipur at 0725 hrs. Flight 9W 2214 then departs Raipur at 0800 hrs, arriving in Delhi at 0950 hrs. Flight 9W 2263 departs Delhi at 1605 hrs, arriving in Chennai at 1840 hrs. Flight 9W 2264 then departs Chennai at 1920 hrs, arriving in Delhi at 2200 hrs. Flight 9W 2287 departs Delhi at 1145 hrs, arriving in Patna at 1315 hrs. Flight 9W 2288 then departs Patna at 1350 hrs, arriving in Delhi at 1525 hrs. Flight 9W 2109 departs Mumbai at 0710 hrs, arriving in Coimbatore at 0900 hrs. Flight 9W 2110 on the return departs from Coimbatore at 0940 hrs and arrives at Mumbai at 1130 hrs. NEW VALUE ADDED OFFERS AS JET AIRWAYS EXPANDS ‘BOARDING CARDS DELIGHT’ PROGRAMME The ‘Boarding Cards Delight’ programme offered by Jet Airways has expanded to include discounts from 22 well-known brands. The new partners include representatives from the retail, hospitality, dining and car hire sectors, delivering a range of special benefits and privileges for Jet Airways’ passengers. The big name brands include Avis, Costa Coffee, Ibis Hotels and Dominoes Pizza, with discounts of up to 50%. To take advantage of the special offers passengers need to present their boarding cards at the various partner establishments or outlets. Boarding cards generated through the Web, SMS and Kiosk Check-in will be accepted along with photo identification. JET AIRWAYS’ JETPRIVILEGE WELCOMES FOUR NEW PARTNERS Jet Airways’ JetPrivilege, India’s largest frequent flyer programme, is expanding its already impressive list to include four new partners: Delta Airlines, Standard Chartered Bank India, ABN India and Punjab National Bank. The new partnerships will add further value to JetPrivilege membership. JetPrivilege members can now earn and redeem ‘JPMiles’ air miles on all flights operated by Delta Airlines, covering 368 destinations in 66 countries. As part of the reciprocal agreement Standard Chartered credit card holders can convert their reward points into JPMiles with credit card holders of ABN AMRO Bank and Punjab National Bank enjoying a similar agreement. JET AIRWAYS ACHIEVES ‘PRESTIGOUS TRAVEL AGENTS FEDERATION OF INDIA’ AWARDS Jet Airways has won two awards at the second Abacus-TAFI (Travel Agents Federation of India) Awards. Jet came top in the ‘Best Eastbound Airline from India’ and ‘Best Domestic Airline in India’ categories. The Abacus-TAFI awards, hosted by the Travel Agents Federation of India and TravelBiz Monitor, seek to honour the very best in the travel trade. Winners were selected via an online poll and nationwide polling exercise within the Indian travel industry, in association with AC Nielsen. Jet Airways was also awarded the title of “Best Long Haul Airline from Brussels” at the recently held TM Travel Awards 2009 ceremony at Antwerp.
