Appointments at Keliber

Kai Helkiö (Construction Manager), who started as a Construction Project Director for Keliber Oy's Lithium Project in June, has been appointed as a member of the company's Management Group. Helkiö is responsible for organizing the construction project, selection of the key suppliers, schedule of the construction project and safety and environmental aspects of the project. Helkiö reports to the CEO of the company.

Chief Production Officer of Keliber, Manu Myllymäki (Master of Science, Technology), has been appointed as a Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the company responsible for the development, start-up and day-to-day operations of the company's concentrate and lithium chemical production. He serves as the head for both the concentrator and the chemical plant managers. In his new role, Myllymäki will report to the CEO of the company.

Sirpa Olaussen (Master of Science) has been appointed as Keliber’s Safety Manager. Olaussen will be responsible of ensuring that Keliber's operations comply with both applicable legislation and the requirements set by the company's management. She will be also responsible for company’s safety trainings, risk assessment and occupational safety development. Olaussen has extensive experience in safety and quality issues in process industry. She has previously worked for example as Quality Manager and Safety Manager at Boliden Kokkola. Olaussen will start in her position on August 19, 2019.

Sami Heikkinen (Master of Science, Technology) has been appointed as Chemical Plant Manager. In his position, Heikkinen will be responsible for the production start-up of the chemical plant and the future production and further development of the plant. He will be the head of the chemical plant's production organization. Heikkinen has extensive experience in industrial maintenance and production. He has previously worked for example at CABB Oy as a Plant Service Manager and Production Engineer. Heikkinen will start in his position on September 1, 2019.
