Keliber applies for the environmental permit for its Kokkola lithium chemical plant

Keliber has submitted an environmental permit application for its lithium chemical plant to the Regional State Administrative Agency of Western and Inner Finland on December 4, 2020. The permit application covers the lithium chemical plant to be located in the Kokkola Industrial Park, including i.a. heat treatment of the concentrate and the hydrometallurgical process.  

“We have reached an important milestone for the permit application for the lithium chemical plant. Close cooperation between Keliber and the authorities has contributed to finalise the preparation of the permit application ahead of schedule,” says CEO Hannu Hautala.
