Several Kemira manufacturing lines will close due to the ongoing political strikes in Finland

Kemira’s manufacturing lines in Oulu, Äetsä and Harjavalta serving pulp and paper customers will stop production during this week. Kemira’s Kuusankoski manufacturing site has been shut down already earlier in March. Due to the production shut down some employee’s work will also stop. These employees’ salary payments will end after seven days.

The long continued political strikes harm significantly the whole of Kemira’s value chain’s operations and Kemira must adapt the manufacturing operations due to the extraordinary situation.

We will continue personal, process and environmental safety procedures 24/7 in all our manufacturing sites. We will also seek ensure the security of supply of critical products at all times.
