Members of AtlasFram Group, the UK’s leading farm input purchasing and crop marketing cooperative, now benefit from a unique agreement which it has negotiated with Goodyear, the leading manufacturer of agricultural and industrial tyres. All of AtlasFram’s 1250 farmer/landowner Members have now been enrolled in the exclusive Goodyear AGRI Club, which offers a number of significant financial and technical benefits.

Members receive a quarterly newsletter which contains the latest news about Goodyear tyres, advice on how to get the best from them, together with details of the company’s exhibition programme, where AGRI Club Members have preferential access to hospitality facilities. Each issue also contains a special offer voucher which provides additional benefits. For example, the current issue includes a voucher giving up to £150 discount when purchasing a set of Goodyear tractor tyres or up to £100 off a set of telescopic handler tyres. These vouchers can be redeemed at one of the company’s 76 approved agricultural tyre outlets.

AGRI Club Membership also provides access to Goodyear’s extensive technical support services, which include on-site advice to ensure that farmers get the best out of their Goodyear agricultural tyres. AGRI Club Members are automatically entered into a free draw at the annual Goodyear-sponsored British Ploughing Championships, giving them the opportunity to win Goodyear Farm Tyres to the value of £2000.

One of the world's largest tyre companies, Goodyear has a wealth of expertise in the agricultural sector and maintains a wide product offering in both the radial and bias construction sectors. Backed by specially trained technicians and engineers, the company’s research and development facilities continues to develop new lines of innovative farm and industrial tyres to meet the increasing performance requirements of machinery manufacturers, dealers, contractors, farmers and other end-users.

Goodyear’s agricultural tyre range currently includes a complete range of Optitrac traction drive tyres for tractors, combines, harvesters and sprayers, together with specialist tyres for trailers/implements and free-rolling front tyres for tractors with non-driven front axles. Goodyear’s range includes industrial radial drive tyres, which includes products designed specifically for telescopic handlers.

Jed Soar, a Technical Specialist for Goodyear, adds: “We are delighted to be working more closely with AtlasFram and the fact that the Group has signed up all of its Members to the Goodyear AGRI Club provides an excellent opportunity to highlight our advanced technology and tyre products.

“Two key products which we believe will benefit AtlasFram Members significantly are the Goodyear Optitrac R+, a high volume 65kmh-rated tyre for high torque, high load applications on 200hp+ tractors, together with the Optitrac H+, for harvester applications, which provides 55% greater load-carrying capability at the same pressure when carrying out cyclical field operations.

“Goodyear is the only agricultural tyre manufacturer to produce a specialised range for telescopic handlers. Consequently, we believe AtlasFram Members will appreciate the ‘new-generation’ Goodyear IT620T, which has full traction capability in soft soil conditions, and the IT630T, designed primarily for use on hard surfaces, where it offers longer life and greater stability.”

Jon Fovargue, Machinery Manager, states: “AtlasFram Group already offers its Members access to significant rebates on a wide range of agricultural equipment which they would otherwise be unable to obtain. The new arrangement we have with Goodyear provides further financial savings and benefits on this leading brand of agricultural tyres.”

A highly-successful farmer-owned cooperative with an annual turnover of £168 million, AtlasFram Group purchases all types of farm inputs and markets combinable crops on behalf of its Members, who collectively farm more than 300,000 hectares throughout the UK. The Group attracts professional arable and livestock farmers who recognise the value of belonging to a large, expertly-managed input purchasing and crop marketing business which operates entirely on their behalf.

In addition to financial savings on a wide range of inputs, from fuel, fertiliser and ag-chem to workshop equipment, tyres, electricity, building materials, feed, animal health products and mobile ‘phones, AtlasFram Members benefit from access to a team of product specialists. Working solely in the best interests of Members, they provide expert advice on a wide range of farming-related issues, advise when to place orders to obtain the best discounts and ensure that products are delivered on time, to the right location. Members receive just one monthly invoice that shows all purchases, which further reduces the time and cost of administration.
