With rising global demand for food, water and energy, CropWorld Global 2013 will provide an international meeting point for the agricultural and food industries to network, source new products and address key issues for the future of food production.

The event will showcase the latest innovations in crop protection, water and irrigation, seed development, and soil management. It will also include access to up-to-date resources on education, training, regulation and research and development.

There will be four new modules in the 2013 event: Packaging and Storage, Distribution and Logistics; Crop Waste management & Storage; and Precision Agriculture and Machinery; Water and Irrigation

CropWorld Global Brand Director Haf Cennydd said Amsterdam was an ideal location for next year’s event because of easy access from Europe and the rest of the world, as well as the size and significance of the Netherlands’ agricultural and food sectors.

“The Netherlands export approximately 7.5% of the total world’s agricultural and food products and is the second largest exporter in the world after the United States. The country is regarded as a forerunner in the field of efficient and sustainable production worldwide, and has strong business links in the sector with China, Saudi Arabia and India. Cennydd

“Amsterdam itself is easily accessible from most major cities of the world, and provides an excellent backdrop in terms of tourism and business facilities,” she said.

“Building on the success of CropWorld Global 2012 and previous events, we are looking forward to a strong response from within the industry to next year’s conference and exhibition,” she said.
