Fresh look for Bunn at Cereals 2012

At Cereals 2012, a freshened look for Bunn was noticeable, though there is nothing new about this business which has been in existence for nearly 200 years. “At Bunn, our focus every day is to create real value for our customers through our low-cost distribution network of eight facilities throughout the UK; a wide-range of straight, blended and value added fertiliser products; local technical knowledge and support; and supporting services, like haulage and spreading,” said Richard Sunderland, managing director of Bunn.

Bunn was using Cereals to tell customers about the incorporation under the Bunn name of four subsidiaries from across the country: WF Reid (Scotland), FSL (Middlesborough), CFS (East Yorks) and Payne Brothers (Norfolk).

Sunderlandcontinued, “Incorporating the subsidiaries under the Bunn name allows us to better serve our customers and the market by creating a unified and national identity.  Even with this change, the quality of service and products received locally by farmers from our eight regional facilities will remain high as always.”

Koch Advanced Nitrogen® fertiliser led the attractions on the Bunn stand. Now well into its first fully commercial year, the innovative nitrogen has racked up a range of trials and farm studies confirming it as a serious alternative to ammonium nitrate (AN). Technical experts were on hand to explain applications and performance to farmers.

The Bunn team discussed farmer’s fertiliser needs and their ability to customise fertiliser blends to individual cropping, soil and environmental requirements: ‘A fertiliser for every crop, in every season’, as they put it.
