August 31, 2011 - Chelmsford, MA. - Kewill (LSE: KWL), a leading provider of solutions that accelerate global trade and logistics, today announced thatPeter Starvaski, director of product management, will presenting at the upcoming Parcel Forum Conference in Chicago, IL (Oct. 24-26) at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare.

News Facts:

  • Presentation Date: Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011 at 8:00AM-8:45AM.
  • Booth Number: Visit Kewill at Booth #109
  • Focus of presentation: Dynamic transportation planning has long been rooted in the domain of freight shipments, while static routing guides and decision trees have often dictated the carrier and service for parcel shipping. Diverse technologies have driven diverse transportation choices. Now imagine technology that enables the best of both worlds—being able to send parcels as a freight shipment! In this session, this perceived dichotomy will be dispelled as new technology leads way to more mixed mode planning and execution for parcel shipments. You will see first-hand actual data used to calculate cost savings for using a freight leg for portions of your parcel shipping. Leave this session understanding how to evaluate if a multi-modal strategy is right for your company, ways to analyze order history to determine how to save money by shifting modes and what parameters should be used to measure successful strategies.
  • Peter’s Credentials: With over 10 years in the parcel shipping industry, Peter Starvaski is a recognized industry expert in parcel shipping; having authored numerous articles and whitepapers and is a sought after speaker on the subject. Peter has been with Kewill for 10 years and is currently Director, Product Management for Shipping Products.
