KGH - Europe’s leading customs company acquires GCS and consolidates market leadership in Europe

KGH Customs Services has acquired Gee’s Customs Solutions (GCS) in the Netherlands, thus strengthening its position as Europe’s leading and fastest growing independent partner for customs compliance.

GCS is a logistics service provider specialized in customs formalities in the fruit and vegetables industry located in Barendrecht, The Netherlands. After the acquisition, KGH will have more than 650 employees in 11 countries.

The acquisition of GCS follows KGH’s recent expansion in France, Italy and Czech Republic. It is a part of its long-term strategy to develop a full-fledged pan-European customs company, capable of offering comprehensive customs services in all major European countries where The Netherlands also is considered an import hub for customs services in Europe.

GCS was founded on 1 January 2004 by G.T. Huigen and G. Eiting and has ever since been a major player in the Dutch customs market. GCS acts primarily in a specific niche handling perishables, i.e. fruit and vegetables. In this market, it is extremely important with high service and quality towards the customers.
