This is how the app company Kiliaro puts the planet, people and health first
The Swedish app company Kiliaro considers itself one of the few companies in Sweden that does its part for both health and the environment globally.
Environmental buzzwords are quickly becoming a thing of the past. Today’s consumers don’t just want to hear words like “sustainability” or “eco-friendly”—they want to take action to make an impact.
They are also expecting brands to act on environmental issues, with 92% of consumers wanting companies to prioritize the two Ps – People and Planet – over the other P – Profit, according to this 2023 Talkwalker report.
Here is how Kiliaro focuses on those two Ps:
People
Kiliaro is designed to be a place where you have your own memories and your real friends. Through photos and videos you can interact with people you have an actual connection to in real life. Hence the Kiliaro service is free from disruptive noise and addictive nonsense. It’s also without all the negative points of today’s internet which can cause depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and more.
Planet
With their huge numbers of active users, online social networks consume significant amounts of energy, both in their data centre storage and in the communications network (electricity and bandwidth).
Kiliaro’s services are mainly spread and run from servers located in secure Swedish data centers. The excess heat from the servers is reused and heats thousands of homes.
Currently through our suppliers we also only use electricity from renewable sources to operate our servers, says the company CPO Arian Bahrami.
