The Industrial Development Commission of Mexicali (Mexicali CDI) has earned its International Economic Development Council (IEDC) certification and is the first organization from not only Mexico but all of Latin America to do so.

North American Production Sharing, Inc. (NAPS) is a strong supporter and member of the Mexicali CDI. NAPS strives to provide unparalleled customer service to companies interested in manufacturing in Mexico, particularly Mexicali, by working closely with the Mexicali CDI and local, state and federal governmental authorities.

With the constant fluctuation in today’s global economy, key executives search for ways to remain competitive. The IEDC recognizes Mexicali as an optimal location for investment opportunities that meet world-class standards. The IEDC is comprised of more than 4,600 international professionals and is the largest organization associated with world economic development.

“We are very pleased with the success of our organization. The certification recognizes our excellence, capacity, image and credibility, which are all essential factors for the attraction and retention of the Mexicali CDI” expressed Manuel Rubio, President of the Mexicali CDI.

The certification process consisted of two phases. After the Mexicali CDI received approval relative to its mission, vision, values, finances, strategic and marketing plans, the IEDC sent specialists to directly evaluate its performance and the current position of Mexicali’s business climate. Specialists from the IEDC evaluated its leadership, financial sources, the community’s commitment to the CDI, its future plans and long-term goals.

“The CDI is an impressive organization that has a long history of deep community support, reflecting outstanding leadership in the private sector and industrial community. It is committed to professionalism when servicing its memebers, the attraction of prospects, as well as companies that bring business to Mexicali,” explained Jeffrey A. Finkle and Robert L. Gonzalez, specialists with the Certified Economic Developer Program. NAPS congratulates the Mexicali CDI for this impressive achievement.
