As one of the leading Mexico shelter services provider, NAPS extends an invitation to aerospace companies interested in manufacturing in Mexico to attend The 2nd Annual Aerospace Forum

This world-class event is being organized by a consortium of private and public entities, with the mission to connect buyers and sellers of parts and services in Baja California’s growing aerospace industry. The state of Baja California is home to 52 companies in the aerospace industry, close to 25% of the aerospace companies in Mexico.

The 2nd Annual Aerospace Forum will take place in Tijuana, Baja California at MATRIX on July 20 & 21, 2011. MATRIX, located next to the Tijuana International Airport, is one of the largest hangars in Mexico, with the capacity to simultaneously house three Boeing 747 planes, and the potential to be one of the largest airplane MRO facilities in Latin America. On July 22 participants will be invited to tour some of the largest aerospace manufacturing plants in the state, located in Mexicali.

The event offers B2B meetings with leading purchasing companies such as Eaton Aerospace, C&D Zodiac, Tyco Electronics, Delphi, Parker, Honeywell, Bourns, Goodrich, Gulfstream, and GKN, among others.

Over the past decade, Mexico, and most particularly Tijuana, has emerged as one of the world’s leading Aerospace manufacturing hubs, due to the abundance of educated and skilled workers within the industry. The Aerospace Forum intends to strengthen the aerospace manufacturing industry in Mexico as a leading provider to the largest aerospace market in the world, but also to support to development of a reliable local supply chain.

According to Mexican officials, the Forum is projected to bring in about $7 million dollars for suppliers throughout the course of the event. Last year’s event attracted over 70 companies, including Bourns, Eaton, Honeywell, Delphi and Gulfstream.
