Champneys Health Spa Resorts go keyless with KitLock

Champneys has replaced its key-operated changing room locker locks with KitLock digital cabinet locks in a bid to enhance the spa experience for guests.

Using KitLock CL1200, guests select a four-digit code to secure their changing room locker enabling them to enjoy the facilities without having to carry a key around with them. The KitLock “lock and go” solution offers better security and removes the cost of replacing lost or broken locker keys.

“The KitLock solution is more professional and, from a guest perspective, the lockers are now far more secure as keys are not left lying around in robe pockets,” said Alex De Carvalho, Managing Director at Champneys. “It’s a smarter way to control the lockers and, to a certain extent, it takes the duty of care away from us, as the guests are responsible for using the lockers and selecting their own codes. And they look good too.”

In ‘locker-mode’ function, KitLock operates with a single-use code-setting facility. The guest enters a four-digit code, which will lock and open the locker only once, then be erased. The locker then remains open until another guest uses it again.  The installation process involves removing the existing cam lock from the locker and then making an additional top fixing for the KitLock. Once in place, a KitLock CL1200 will perform 50,000 openings on just two AAA batteries.

KitLock can be seen at Leisure Industry Week in Hall 18 stand number F100. For more information on KitLock or to place an order please call Codelocks on +44 (0) 1635 239545, or email sales@kitlock.com

About KitLock

KitLock is a stylish alternative to traditional key cam locks that uses a four-digit code rather than a key to secure lockers and cabinets in gyms, leisure centres, schools and hospitals. In locker mode, the code will lock and open the locker or cabinet once only and then be erased. The lock will remain open until the next user resets it. A red LED light will flash to show the locker is in use. If a user forgets the code, it can be unlocked using a master code. KitLock is available in any standard RAL colour and there are two products in the KitLock range. For more information visit: http://www.kitlock.com/

KitLock is a Codelocks Ltd brand.
