KMT has entered an agreement to take over the after-sales and service operations of La Decoupe S.A., the leading machine builder of waterjet cutting systems in the French market. The business has an installed base of approximately 80 systems. The transaction will initially lead to an increase in annual sales of approximately SEK 6 million, excluding the service business KMT has previously conducted on La Decoupe’s machines. The purchase price amounts to approximately SEK 6 million, and the transaction will only have a marginal impact on the results for 2007.

The takeover follows the acquisition of the French service company AquaForce which was announced in February 2007, and further strengthens KMT’s position in service contracts, remodeling, spare parts and maintenance of waterjet cutting machines, primarily in the French market.

Lars Bergström, President and CEO says “The objective behind this latest transaction is to further enhance our knowledge of the French waterjet market, while at the same time underpinning our position in aftermarket activities.”

As a result of KMT’s growing presence in the French market, a branch office will be established in Lyon. The business will be operated as a profit centre within the KMT Waterjet business area and will be consolidated from October 1, 2007.
