(December 6, 2011 New York, NY) - In response to the popularity of RED Splash, St. Francis has released WHITE Splash, beginning with the 2010 vintage that reached stores and restaurants this past September in select markets. A national release of WHITE Splash is set to follow in 2012. Distributed by Kobrand Wine & Spirits, WHITE Splash is a superior wine blend of four different white varietals at a suggested retail price of $9.99.

“With the success of RED Splash, it was fitting for a white blend to be created. Since 1971, St. Francis has pioneered California winemaking and it’s an exciting time to make California appellation blends that deliver high quality winemaking at a palatable price and are easy to like and easy to buy,” says St. Francis Winery CEO Christopher Silva.

Using carefully selected fruit from California’s top appellations, St. Francis WHITE Splash is a lively blend of Gewurztraminer, Malvasia Bianca, Viognier, and Pinot Grigio. Each varietal contributes distinctive qualities to this fun, approachable wine and gives aromas of lychee fruit, jasmine and honeyed citrus with flavors of peach, honeydew, mango and green apple. WHITE SPLASH is bright and fruit forward with natural crisp acidity. It is easy to enjoy on its own or paired with food such as salads, chicken, or fish. Blended and fermented in 100% stainless steel to preserve the fruit’s fresh flavors and aromas, WHITE Splash has a juicy mouth-feel and zesty finish. Partial malolactic fermentation gives this wine a delightfully soft texture.
