Lumo rental apartments in Lauri Korpisen Katu 8 attract those who appreciate an ecological lifestyle – the heart of the car-free house is a large washing room
A communal Lumo building encouraging sustainable choices will be built at Lauri Korpisen katu 8 near the Tikkurila train station. The 169 apartments of the Lumo building are specially designed for those who prefer an ecological lifestyle. A large washing room+multi-purpose space as well as four saunas provide residents with communal facilities for living.
Environmental consciousness and a sense of community are important life values for more and more people today, and this is also reflected in apartment choices. For example, waste squares are perceived as unnecessary, and quality is not measured by the quantity of goods. Lumo homes also offer an excellent alternative in Tikkurila for minimalists and those who prefer an effortless lifestyle.
Lauri Korpisen katu 8, completed in the autumn, has 169 apartments, most of which are single or two-room apartments. Light and high-quality materials make the homes cosy and spacious: almost all apartments have a spacious and bright balcony, which adds to the feeling of space.
The Lumo building is located in the immediate vicinity of the train station. The buidling is also car-free and therefore an excellent choice for those using public transport as well as cyclists. Bicycles are stored and maintained in the building’s bicycle storages. Each apartment has its own storage space with a sliding door instead of the traditional basement and attic storage spaces.
The heart of the housing company is the large, more than 150-square-metre washing room+multi-purpose space where washers and dryers rustle and residents can meet, socialise and enjoy a cup of coffee. There are four saunas meaning that all residents have a chance to make a sauna booking to enjoy the shared sauna facilities.
“In the Lauri Korpisen katu housing company, we want to offer residents a modern, ecological and communal way of living. I believe that people who share the same ecological and community values naturally seek to live in this house,” says Ville Kilpi, the Sales Director of Lumo homes.
The apartments are equally suitable for singles, couples and small families.
