KONE to equip mixed-use Aga Hall Estate housing complex in Mumbai, India

KONE Corporation, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, has won an order to provide a suite of People Flow® solutions for the Aga Hall Estate residential complex in Mumbai, as redeveloped under the patronage of its owner, Prince Aly Khan Hospital Charitable Trust. The development is part of a broader trend in and around the city center, where increasing population and limited urban space are driving the construction of taller buildings.
Amid Mumbai’s towering skyline, the Aga Hall Estate integrates residential and commercial spaces, thus helping to reduce urban sprawl along the shores of the Arabian Sea. The complex will include a new, purpose-built health facility, a school, and two exclusive high-rise towers at 45 and 56 storeys with more than 349 luxury apartments.

By 2030, Mumbai is projected to become home to many more skyscraper hotspots, with hundreds of new buildings rising above 40 floors. The Aga Hall Estate is a prime example of the city’s ability to adapt and modernize, currently redefining Mumbai’s architectural landscape in an innovative way.
KONE’s order comprises 19 KONE MiniSpace™ passenger elevators and two KONE MonoSpace® elevators fit for residential buildings, featuring eco-efficient solutions and the KONE Destination Control System (DCS) for improved traffic management and reduced waiting times.
The project is due for completion in 2027. The developer is Aga Hall Estate, and the main contractor is Leighton India Pvt Ltd. The architectural design was done by P G Patki.
KONE booked the order in Q3 of 2024.
