KONE Corporation, press release, January 16, 2014

KONE has been awarded the contract to install 45 new elevators for Nova, Victoria, a new, mixed-use development in the heart of London's West End. It is an architecturally daring urban project that is built to cater for commercial, residential and retail use. Nova, Victoria is located on an island opposite Victoria Station and forms part of the overall revitalization of the area.

Developer, Land Securities, and main contractor on the project, Mace, chose KONE to work on their new project as a result of its performance on other iconic buildings and its eco-efficiency record. KONE will be installing 43 MonoSpace® 700 elevators which have achieved an A grade in energy efficiency according to the VDI 4707 classification, as well as a KONE TranSys® elevator and a KONE ProSpace(TM) disabled platform. The Nova Building, the residential element of Nova will feature 10 glass backed scenic KONE MonoSpace elevators. The new elevators will be fitted with KONE's Polaris® destination control system and KONE E-Link(TM) remote monitoring system to ensure high availability of the equipment.

"We are proud to have been involved in this high-profile project right from its design stages. It is a bold and striking development and we're looking forward to seeing its completion with KONE systems integrated," says Michael Williams, Managing Director of KONE Great Britain.

Development of Nova, Victoria, formerly called Victoria Circle, commenced in the summer of 2013 and is expected to complete its first phase in April 2016.

The order was booked in the fourth quarter of 2013.
