CHANGES IN KONECRANES' MANAGEMENT

Changes in Konecranes' management 
In a press release dated May 6, 2009 Konecranes announced that it would shift
to a two-tiered management structure as of September 1, 2009. The new structure
consists of the Group Executive Board and the Extended Management Team. 

Konecranes' Group Executive Board members are: 
Pekka Lundmark, President and Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of the
Group Executive Board; Hannu Rusanen, Executive Vice President and Head of
Business Area Service; Mikko Uhari, Executive Vice President and Head of
Business Area Equipment; Harry Ollila, Executive Vice President and Head of
Market Operations; Teo Ottola, Chief Financial Officer; Pekka Lettijeff, Chief
Procurement Officer and Ari Kiviniitty, Chief Technology Officer. 

In addition to the Group Executive Board members, the members of the Extended
Management Team include the Senior Vice Presidents of the regional
organizations; Vice President, General Counsel; Vice President, Human
Resources; Vice President, Marketing & Communications; and the Chief
Information Officer. 

As of September 1, 2009, Mr. Ryan Flynn has been appointed Senior Vice
President and Head of Konecranes' operations in the Northeast Asia (NEA)
region. At the same time, Mr. Flynn also became a member of the company's
Extended Management Team. Mr. Flynn previously worked for Konecranes as
Director, Ports, Northeast and Southeast Asia. Mr. Flynn replaces Mr Harry
Ollila, who as of September 1, 2009, is Executive Vice President and Head of
Konecranes' newly established Marketing Operations function. Mr. Flynn reports
to Harry Ollila. 

As of December 1, 2009, Konecranes' Chief Information Officer, Mr. Antti
Koskelin became a member of the company's Extended Management Team. Mr.
Koskelin joined Konecranes in January 2009 and reports to Konecranes' Chief
Technology Officer, Ari Kiviniitty. The use of modern Information Technology
(IT) in business operations is of strategic importance for Konecranes, and
Chief Information Officer Koskelin will bring the knowledge and the experience
of IT to Konecranes' Extended Management Team. 

Mr. Pekka Päkkilä, who has had a long and successful career at Konecranes, has
decided to leave the company as of February 1, 2010. Mr. Päkkilä has worked for
Konecranes since 1987. He was a member of the Group Executive Board between
2003 and September 2009, and will continue as President for Business Area
Standard Lifting until the end of 2009. In addition, Mr Päkkilä has since
September 1, 2009 been Senior Vice President and Head of Konecranes' operations
in the new geographical region Nordic, East Europe and India (NEI) and a member
of the Extended Management Team. 

Mr. Aku Lehtinen has been appointed Senior Vice President and Head of
Konecranes' operations in the NEI region. The appointment is effective as of
February 1, 2010. At the same time, Mr. Lehtinen will become a member of the
company's Extended Management Team. Mr. Lehtinen previously worked for
Konecranes as Director, Southeast Europe. Mr. Lehtinen will report to Harry
Ollila, Executive Vice President. 

Mr. Tomas Myntti has been appointed Director, Industrial Cranes, region NEI.
The appointment is effective as of January 1, 2010. Mr. Myntti has previously
worked as Director, Market Operations, leading the development of global
account management, sales management, sales process support and development of
solution marketing. Mr. Myntti will report to Aku Lehtinen, Senior Vice
President and Head of Konecranes' operations in the NEI region and in matrix to
Mr. Ilpo Hakala, Vice President and Head of Industrial Cranes.
