Konecranes’ climate work earns Leadership ranking from the CDP for a second consecutive year

Report this content

Konecranes received an A- rating in the annual climate program of the CDP for a second straight year, reflecting its efforts and commitment to be a material handling industry leader in cutting emissions, managing and mitigating climate risks and developing a low-carbon offering.

The CDP’s annual program is a globally recognized benchmark that ranks the efforts of investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impact. Companies receiving a Leadership ranking must demonstrate both awareness of their impact on the environment, and the appropriate actions taken to reduce these in line with the 1.5-degree trajectory laid out in the Paris Agreement.

“Our ambitious efforts to reduce our climate impact are showing clear and steady momentum, and we are pleased that the CDP shares this view. This is welcome encouragement for our work in 2024 and beyond as we tackle issues including the electrification of our offering and working towards carbon neutral own operations,” said Anniina Virta-Toikka, VP, Sustainability, Konecranes.

A strong focus on customers and commitment to business growth and continuous improvement make Konecranes a material handling industry leader. This is underpinned by investments in digitalization and technology, plus our work to make material flows more efficient with solutions that decarbonize the economy and advance circularity and safety.
