NEA and SAP join to form new Konecranes Region APAC
Konecranes will as of September 1, 2010, combine the current SAP and NEA Regions
to one. The new Asia-Pacific (APAC) Region will be headed by Ryan Flynn.
Mr. Ryan Flynn has been Senior Vice President and Head of Konecranes' operations
in the Northeast Asia (NEA) region as of September 1, 2009. At the same time,
Mr. Flynn also became a member of the company's Extended Management Team.
Previously, Mr. Flynn worked for Konecranes as Director, Ports, Northeast and
Southeast Asia. In his new role as the head of the APAC Region, Mr. Flynn will
continue to report to Harry Ollila, Executive Vice President and Head of Market
Operations.
After this structural change, Konecranes will be in a better position to serve
its customers across the Asia-Pacific region.
Mr. Edward Yakos, Senior Vice President, South Asia Pacific who has had a long
and successful career at Konecranes, is pursuing other interests. Mr. Yakos
worked for Konecranes since 1992 and since August 2005, Mr. Yakos was Head of
Konecranes' operations in region South Asia Pacific (SAP) and Managing Director
of both the Australian and Singaporean Konecranes subsidiaries. He was a member
of the Group Executive Board from 2005 to September 2009, and a member of the
Extended Management Team since September 2009.
The new Konecranes Region structure consists of four Regions:
Americas (AME), Western Europe, Middle East and Africa (WEMEA), Nordic, Eastern
Europe and India (NEI) and Asia-Pacific (APAC).
