Kongsberg Automotive’s Interior business area has been awarded a major contract for seat comfort systems to one of the world’s premier brands, located in Europe. The new systems are for the global market.
The new design includes pneumatic lumbar & side support for the front seats and goes into a wide range of vehicle platforms. Deliveries will be out of our plants in Europe, North America and Asia. Estimated revenue is MEUR 30 and production will start in 2012. The pneumatic system offers benefits to the vehicle OEM with respect to small packaging size and low weight. Important features to maintain high comfort while reducing vehicle over all weight.
